Ben began practicing judo at age 7, but by 12, he was diagnosed with a rare genetic condition that caused degenerative sight loss. Despite this, he continued to excel in the sport. Over his 15-year international career, he achieved major accolades in visually impaired judo, including competing in two Paralympic Games and winning a bronze medal at the London 2012 Paralympics. Ben also secured two World Championships and one European Championship among other international titles. Now, he is dedicated to giving back to the sport and helping others experience the lessons it taught him by establishing a new judo club for the local community.

Francesca’s judo journey began at the age of 5, where her natural talent quickly propelled her to success. She dominated the British judo scene, securing back-to-back national titles across multiple age groups—cadet, junior, and senior. Her exceptional skills also earned her a spot representing Great Britain at the Junior European Championships, where she came close to earning a place at the 2012 London Olympics, a testament to her dedication and potential.
Now, Francesca is focused on giving back to the sport that shaped her life. , she is committed to passing on her passion, experience, and knowledge by establishing a new judo club. With a deep drive to support her local community, Francesca aims to create a space where others can discover the discipline, confidence, and life-changing benefits of judo.

Steve brings a unique blend of talent, experience, and passion to the sport of judo. A multiple-time British champion with an international competitive career that came close to earning him a spot at the Olympic Games, his tenacity, determination, and skill have solidified his reputation as a renowned fighter.

As a former national coach and highly experienced club coach, Steve’s expertise speaks for itself. Now, driven by a deep commitment to the sport, he is focused on making a positive impact in the local community by sharing his knowledge and passion for judo, and helping to change lives along the way.
